Shows

Shows are a great way of seeing the Hill Radnor at its best. Despite its lack of numbers, the breed performs very well in the show ring. It is frequently well placed in the interbreed classes when competing against the more common commercial breeds - an exceptional achievement given the numerical scarcity of the breed.

Annual shows include:the Breed Society's Annual Show & Sale - Abergavenny livestock market on Fair Day (towards the end of September)the Royal Welsh Show, the Smallholder's Show and the Winter Fair - Llanelwedd in late July, mid May and end November respectivelycounty shows - Brecon and Monmouth in Augustlocal shows - Cwmdu and Gwenddwr in July; Lower Chapel, Llyswen and Erwood in August; with Sennybridge in September
